Ivan Sikavica

WEYMOUTH COLLEGE , Sept 1998 – June 1999. Traditional Stone Masonry and Carving. Ivan works for the Croatian Conservation Institute in Split and is also engaged in our project for the Hanibal Lucic Renaissance garden on Hvar.  He trained in stone carving, masonry and project management at Weymouth College in 1998/1998 under the auspices of the International Trust for Croatian Monuments. He was the third student from Croatia at the College helped by the Trust.  Returning home, Ivan completed a five-year course in stone conservation/restoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Split. During his studies, he participated in different projects of the Croatian Conservation Institute. He now works for them and has been engaged in many important undertakings, including the laser cleaning and conservation of the Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace in Split.
